Traci Blido, Director

Traci Blido is the Director of Economic Development. She is responsible for planning, developing, and directing business and economic development programs and services in the County. Traci joined Bedford County in August 2011 after working nearly five years as an Economic Development Program Manager at Virginia’s Region 2000 Partnership and Economic Development Council.

Prior to that, Traci worked more than 15 years in the nuclear energy, pulp and paper, and telecommunication industries — including a 10-year stint with Ericsson Inc. where she served as Director of Internal Communications.

Traci holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism from Liberty University and is an active member of the International Economic Development Council. Traci was appointed in 2019 to the Virginia Economic Development Association to serve on its Board of Directors and she also leads the Community Economic Development Awards program committee, recognizing top economic development projects in the Commonwealth annually.

Traci serves on the Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, The Central Virginia Workforce Development Board, The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance Regional Economic Development team, and is an active member/Past President of the Bedford Rotary Club.

Pam Bailey, Marketing & Business Development Coordinator

Pam Bailey is the Marketing & Business Development Coordinator. She is responsible for managing the Bedford One program industry tours that link high school students with local businesses based on their career interests, as well as providing support to the EDA and coordinating economic development programs for the County, both for existing and prospective businesses. She also manages grants on behalf of the EDA. Pam joined Bedford County in February 2018 after working for more than 20 years in the marketing and communication field including at Ericsson where she managed tradeshows for several business units, United Way as the Marketing Director, and at Blair Marketing as the Senior Account Executive  for more than a decade working with a variety of industries across the country with marketing communication needs.

Pam holds a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and Marketing from Meredith College, in Raleigh, N.C. and is a member of the International Economic Development Council and the Virginia Economic Development Association. She is also an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators where she currently serves on the Board of Directors as President and VP of Finance for the Lynchburg chapter.
