Traci Blido, Director

Traci Blido is the Director of Economic Development. She is responsible for planning, developing, and directing business and economic development programs and services in the County. She joined Bedford County in August 2011 after working nearly five years as an Economic Development Program Manager at Virginia’s Region 2000 Partnership and Economic Development Council.

Prior to that, Traci worked more than 15 years in the nuclear energy, pulp and paper, and telecommunication industries — including a 10-year stint with Ericsson Inc. where she served as Director of Internal Communications.

Traci holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Liberty University and is an active member of the International Economic Development Council and Virginia Economic Development Association.

She serves on the Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Virginia’s Region 2000 Workforce Development Board, and is a member/Past President of the Bedford Rotary Club.

Pam Bailey, Marketing & Business Development Coordinator

Pam Bailey is the Marketing & Business Development Coordinator. She is responsible for coordinating the Bedford One program industry tours that link high school students with local businesses based on their career interests, as well as providing support to the EDA and coordinating economic development programs for the County, both for existing and prospective businesses. Pam joined Bedford County in February 2018  and brings 20 years of marketing and communication experience from private and non-profit sectors.

Pam holds a bachelor’s degree from Meredith College, in Raleigh, N.C. and is an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators where she currently serves on the Board as VP of Finance for the Lynchburg chapter.
